There was a different ringed Mute Swan north of Tophill today. It was a cob & had a female in tow (unringed), but there didn't appear to be a nest. These 2 Swans have been on Scurf Dyke every time I've visited, but only saw the ring clearly today. If you find out anything, please let me know

The one on the photo on your blog is a Yorkshire Swan Rescue bird so could be worth getting in touch with them to see what they can tell you
